- Start with a small amount :
Menthol crystals are very powerful, so it is recommended to start with a small amount, for example one small crystal, about 0.5 cm in size. This way you get a safe and pleasant effect and you can gradually increase the amount if necessary. - Brackish water temperature :
Do not put the crystals in cool bath water, as the crystals do not dissolve properly in cool water. Make sure the water is hot enough for the crystals to dissolve and release fresh menthol vapor into the sauna. - In case of skin contact :
Menthol crystals can cause an intense feeling of coolness
in contact with the skin. This may feel very cold at first, but it also increases blood flow to the area and the sensation will go away after a while. Although the sensation is not dangerous, it is good to avoid getting the crystals directly on the skin in the sauna, and especially on the face area, to avoid burning eyes. - Do not place directly on the resistance of the electric heater :
